A wide area of Bangladesh was inundated in 2020 due to river overflows and heavy monsoon rain. Vast areas went underwater in many districts which completely destroyed the houses, crops, and vegetation. Many people lost everything and took shelter in other safe areas. The food and water crisis was acute in many areas. BASMAH Foundation promptly responded with food aid to assist these people. 5,000 families were provided with food packages soon after the disaster.
