Basmah Fundation at Glance
Basmah Foundation popularly known as Basmah Foundation is a non-political, non-profit, and non-government humanitarian organization (NGO) reregistered with the NGO Affairs Bureau. It has been working since 26th July 2018 in collaboration with the Bangladesh American Society of Muslim Aid for Humanity Inc (BASMAH) and other local donors and institutions. Basmah Foundation is currently working in both rural and urban areas of as many as 20 districts in Bangladesh.
It is one of the humanitarian organizations in the NGO sector implementing numerous programs with greater zeal and enthusiasm following a sustainable development approach for the empowerment of the community as a whole especially of the disadvantaged and underprivileged people in Bangladesh who are vulnerable to climate and disaster. Side by side with all stakeholders including the Government of Bangladesh, Basmah, as a commitment, is actively participating to fight poverty and achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1,2,3,4 and 17 as well as Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction SFDRR targets in Bangladesh.

Beneficiaries Coverage
Basmah covers about 1 million beneficiaries in Bangladesh who are getting direct or indirect support from different humanitarian response as well as development projects since its inception in 2018.
Major Interventions
Basmah has identified the following broad interventions to achieve its goal and objectives and has been providing support to its beneficiaries:
- Education for Children through Learning Centers;
- BASMAH Health Care Center;
- Humanitarian Response and rehabilitation (Rohingya response)
- Seasonal program like Ramadan and Ifter food distribution, Qurbani meat distribution among the food in secured vulnerable people including Rohingya refugees;
- Food and Livelihood security for the poorest people;
- Orphan and Child welfare;
- Clean and fresh water and Sanitation;
