Clean and safe drinking water
Access to clean water is still very limited in many areas in Bangladesh. The Cyclone and flood prone districts often experience wide inundation covering vast areas making fresh water unavailable. People drink water from the available ponds and rivers as a result, suffer from water borne diseases. The poorest people cannot afford the cost of tube well installation. Considering the vulnerability of the costal people the BASMAH FOUNDATION has provided tube wells in five more vulnerable villages in Satkhira, Mymensingh district to ensure access to clean and safe drinking water for the poor and needy community. Moreover, BASMAH FOUNDATION has dug up bore wells to provide clean and safe drinking water options for the Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar.
