Skill Development And Distribution Of Production Input

BASMAH Foundation has established five vocational centers (Cox’s Bazar, Mymensingh, Narayanganj, Rangpur, Jashore) for women to become self-sufficient. Due to unfair discrimination, women have little opportunity to be involved in the workforce. BASMAH FOUNDATION believes if they are provided with a small amount of money and equipment these women can take the initiative to run their own small businesses and eventually can support their families. We have set up a tailoring and garment-making training program for needy women in Bangladesh. Our vocational program provides poor women with the necessary skills and distributes sewing machines. The vocational program of BASMAH FOUNDATION also creates employment opportunities for women by manufacturing school uniforms for students of BASAMH learning centers. About 500 ultra-poor needy women are provided with skill development training and start-up production input like a sewing machine.

Skill Development And Employment Scheme

BASMAH Foundation is dedicated to helping the poor and disadvantaged people with sustainable livelihoods by creating income-generating opportunities. BASMAH Foundation is working to address poverty and unemployment through skills training and practical knowledge especially for youths to engage with Computer skills, and small agricultural enterprises. In view of this, BASMAH Foundation has established Many Skill centers in Bangladesh. The objective of the Skill center is to provide hands-on training to youths on small schemes such as Computer Skills, livestock rearing, poultry firm management, chicken and duck rearing, fish farming, and horticulture. Through this training program, it is expected that these youths will be confident to initiate small businesses on their own. We strongly believe that through this approach we can help disadvantaged youths and poor people to be self-employed through the multiplication and diversification of production assets and come out of the poverty line
