Description
Access to clean water is still very limited in many areas in Bangladesh. The Cyclone and flood prone districts often experience wide inundation covering vast areas making fresh water unavailable. People drink water from the available ponds and rivers as a result, suffer from water borne diseases. The poorest people cannot afford the cost of tube well installation. So far, Basmah Foundation has installed around 4000 tube wells in various districts of Bangladesh (Kurigram, Rangpur, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Mymensingh, Jashore, Jhenaidah, Rajbari, Bogra, Sherpur, Brahmanbaria) through Clean Water Project to ensure safe water for all people. Moreover, BASMAH FOUNDATION has dug up bore wells to provide clean and safe drinking water options for the Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar.
