Campaign Story
Over a million Rohingya refugees endure the harsh realities of makeshift encampments, constructed from bamboo and plastic. These oppressed Muslims, fleeing ethnic cleansing in Myanmar, sought refuge in Bangladesh with only the clothes on their backs. They rely entirely on humanitarian assistance for sustenance, encompassing shelter, sustenance, attire, medical care, and schooling for their offspring. Nonetheless, the vast scale of this catastrophe overwhelms both global and local aid organizations. Recognizing the immediacy of the crisis, BASMAH has intervened to provide vital aid. Since the outbreak of the crisis in 2017, BASMAH has been active on-site within the encampments, delivering an array of indispensable services and initiatives tailored to address the varied needs of the Rohingya populace.
