The humanitarian crisis caused by escalating violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine State is causing suffering on a catastrophic scale. Extreme violence and discrimination have driven over 727,000 Rohingya refugees across the border into Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
Women and children are extremely vulnerable, living in highly challenging circumstances, fighting malnutrition, exposed to the monsoon elements and dependent on aid.
Keeping this in mind, we in collaboration with BASMAH USA (Bangladesh American Society of Muslim Aid for Humanity) are constructing a Children Care Centre at Camp-13, Block: A6, Barmapara, Thaingkhali, Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh which will provide a safe place for kids to learn and grow. The center strives to provide them emotional and moral support. We will provide free books, free snacks, school dress and bags etc.
Our partner organization BASMAH USA grant us funds which help in running day-to-day operations of this Children Care Centre. This project and all services offered at this Children Care Centre is approved by Government of Bangladesh NGO Affairs Bureau (Approval Number – 03.07.2666.6220.127.116.11.)
Alhamdulillah! In short period of time, women at Basmah Sewing training centers have started manufacturing school uniforms for Rohingya children who are studying at this Basmah Children Care Center.
